"The Taliban scoffed at Obama's shock Nobel prize award on Friday, suggesting his policy towards Afghanistan barely differed from that of ex-president George W. Bush.
"We have seen no change in his strategy for peace," said Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Islamic fundamentalist militants.
"He has done nothing for peace in Afghanistan," Mujahid told AFP. "He has not taken a single step for peace in Afghanistan or to make this country stable.""
http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5iiRsuUcuIjfsOpbYtAiMgORN8ZiASome times the world is surreal :D
This movement is for sure doing nothing to contribute to peace, to the contrary.
Rush Limbaugh, the Taliban and Fox agree about this, they don't wanna see democracy win in Afghanistan, because that means peace, and those people are committed to war. Committed to war and surrealism, I would say.
It's worth noting that the controversy about this award is purely media driven, commentators quoting commentators and creating a stir. Not on the day of the award, but the day after. They sure didn't see this coming. The committee chairman has commented the reaction as 'strange, but expected'.
