6. HBO has a good variety of programming
there was a documentary about how closeted gay politicians write legislation banning gays. And they've had quite a lot of good documentaries recently. Go to their website for more ideas....

There is another coming up next month too, Schmatta about how US workers in the clothing industry are being pushed out of the system.

12. they've had quite a lot of good programming for liberals......
There is another good one that was on HBO recently, The Yes Men Fix the World. Here's a description of it.......

THE YES MEN FIX THE WORLD follows The Yes Men as they take on Dow Chemical, Exxon Mobil, Halliburton and the U.S. government, posing as official spokesmen who make altruistic announcements that fly in the face of institutional interests.

It's been a few months since this one was on but they'll probably show it again sometime.

And there is another new one that should be on shortly, By the People. It's about the election of Barack Obama.

And another doc about free speech:

Shouting Fire: Stories from the Edge of Free Speech
Most Americans believe the First Amendment is sacred and inviolate, but not since the 1950s has it been under such attack - from both the right and the left.

Check out their documentary page, I'm sure you'll see something you like......
http://www.hbo.com/docs/

And they've also had some good movies too! The Kingdom, Syriana, Michael Clayton, Body of Lies, Breach, The Good Shepherd to name a few.

And there's another good made-for-hbo film, Taking Chance. In that one, Kevin Bacon plays a marine who volunteers to escort the body of a fallen soldier home.

5. Don't have tv, but I really want to hear Cornell West - usually the videos posted are
the new rules and a guest calling in. I never seem to be able to find the sessions with the three guests? Is there any sure site to go to see the entire show?

11. My granddaughter watched him speak last night at the college
she is attending in Cali.. She called me after hearing him speak to tell me how terrific he was and inspirational. She bought his book and had him sign it. She asked him how difficult it would be to take one of his classes, he told her to call him and wrote his number in the book.

Wish he could have said more this evening but it was a good show. Bill may have spent too much time with the Dr. discussing the flu vaccine, ugh.
