Boeing an underwriter for propagandistic PBS show ?meaculpa?

Maybe I'm wrong - I tuned in late but I saw Robert McNeill commenting on the story just told - a burial...maybe the part I missed was on target, if so I'm sorry for misunderstanding...

Just tuned in this PBS show about escorting a dead soldier's casket to a small town to be buried. It was produced by the
"Documentary Group" Out of curiosity, I checked to see what the documentary group is. It includes Boeing as an underwriter for this series. Very pro-military, flags flying at the cemetery...Pseudo-dignified but glorifying "sacrifice" and those who are "grateful" for such needless sacrifice...

I read somewhere ( http://www.tonykaron.com/ ? http://tomdispatch.com/ ? http://www.truthout.org ? ) that the show was supposed to be a Bill Moyers expos� of the Bush administration's flat-out lying to us ... oh hell ... I've gotta find that article.

2. You missed a great film

If you had seen the first 50 minutes of the program you would have seen it was anything but pro-war propaganda. One of the best pieces shown on TV. Ever.

5. agreed.....

you had to watch it from the beginning. The flag waving uber patriot was at the very end, and did anyone notice how he took a swipe at L.A. & N.Y.? But there was a lot of very touching & gut-wrenching footage prior to that and it was very real, and very human, minus all the flag waving.

And I did notice the swipe at Detroit & L.A. & immediately thought it was a racist swipe...
