Bringing real zebras into the embargoed territory would be too costly, a zoo official says, so workers painted two white donkeys with women's hair dye.

14. Carousel donkeys have sometimes been repainted as zebras

by park employees who thought they were supposed to be zebras because of the tail.

But this is the first time I've seen a real live donkey repainted as a zebra!
