Tina Fey ready to bring Sarah Palin impersonation out of retirement for Palin's book, 'Going Rogue'
Source: NY Daily News

Good satire never dies.

While months ago comedian Tina Fey vowed to deep six her celebrated Sarah Palin impersonation, now she says it's likely bound for a resurrection.

The Palin wig will soon have to "come out of the closet," she vowed to Harper's Bazaar.

The hook? The soon-to-come publication of Palin's quickly written autobiography "Going Rogue."

6. Yes, but I think Palin is hoping for a second wind.
It has to be snuffed.

3. The title of Palin's book comes from one of Tina Fey's impersonations of Palin on SNL.
You didn't really think Palin had an original thought, did you?

18. Yeah, I love that.
Have to give her some credit for trying to turn that into a positive, though.

22. Palin's too stupid to realize that "rogue" means "a dishonest or worthless person," a "scoundrel,"
and, as an adjective, "corrupt, dishonest" (as in "rogue cops")--AND, especially apropos, "resembling or suggesting a rogue elephant, esp. in being isolated, aberrant, dangerous, or uncontrollable." (Merriam-Webster's 11th Collegiate).

In her crazy cult party, it seems they've all gone rogue.

He beat her in court and the press used rogue to describe him. I guess she liked it.

26. Another wrong answer

It comes from what McCain campaign staffers said about her.

32. It was in use, but had nothing to do with the reason for the book title

Palin said it was from what McCain staffers said.

McCain campaign staffers said she was going rogue and she used it for the book title.

9. I think Fey herself is still shocked by the impact of her
impersonation. Even though she has spent much of her adult life acting, she never expected so much attention.

I remember seeing her on Letterman where they both discussed this.

They both admitted how much they did not know about world events, but said they knew they were not experts. They were not trying to fool the country into thinking they were anything other than entertainers.

Fey wanted to go back to doing her show and being a mom. Maybe she should put Palin back in her place whenever it looks like Palin is building some support. Palin needs to be ridiculed until she does not have a shred of credibility.

27. I don't believe the Palins ever have a sleepless night. They are pure ego.
When you are completely confident that you are the sun, moon and stars, you never have a sleepless night. Todd and Sarah have been sleeping soundly, side by side, since their (shotgun) wedding night. (well, since it was a shotgun elopement, obviously they were sleeping soundly side by side BEFORE their wedding night, but...)

(And I don't give a crap that she was pregnant when they got married; I only give a crap about Mrs. Family Values Abstinence Only's hypocrisy).

10. Didn't Fey invent the "Going Rogue" phrase in a sketch with McCain?
I only recall that phrase when Fey was playing Palin in a sketch with McCain doing the Home Shopping Network together. Fey turned to the camera and started pitching "Palin 2012" shirts. She said, "Keep it down, I'm going rogue right now" as McCain was in the background.

on her own trip through the merry-go-round.

And I think, deep down, it irks Tina that she can't get through to Palin.

21. On one hand, I'm really sorry for Tina if she does Palin again, but
on the other hand, I'm really gonna love it. Fey, even when she does her Palin impersonation, manages to be, IMO, gorgeous, sexy, witty, intelligent, and scathingly funny. In short, Ms. Fey-as-Palin is everything the "real" Sarah can never, ever hope to be.

I'd like to think that Fey makes a lot more money than Palin, but I'm not really sure about that.
