Full Text Of Newsmax Column Suggesting Military Coup Against Obama (Former WH Speechwriter)

Or do they soldier on, hoping the 2010 congressional elections will reverse the situation? Do they dare gamble the national survival on such political whims?
Anyone who imagines that those thoughts are not weighing heavily on the intellect and conscience of America's military leadership is lost in a fool's fog.
Will the day come when patriotic general and flag officers sit down with the president, or with those who control him, and work out the national equivalent of a "family intervention," with some form of limited, shared responsibility?
Imagine a bloodless coup to restore and defend the Constitution through an interim administration that would do the serious business of governing and defending the nation. Skilled, military-trained, nation-builders would replace accountability-challenged, radical-left commissars. Having bonded with his twin teleprompters, the president would be detailed for ceremonial

I agree with everything except the word "bloodless". That's just not realistic. USA! USA! USA!

Typical solution by someone who has spent a lot of time as part of the Democrat world-view — Revolution.

I just don’t understand how the things they are doing, basically destroying our economy and way of life, mangling our laws and trampling on the Constitution, I just don’t see how theat can all be reversed without some sort of conflict. Sarah Palin isn’t going to save us. If she were in charge, the Congress would still be there, the Federal Resrve, the U.N. etc. etc.— We just need a reboot. A cleansing, if you will. These people won’t go away quietly. let’s show them the door.

Never happen. Civil war will be the only answer. The communists hold over the Country is huge and total rebellion is the only way the Constitution can be reinstalled. King Obama has paid for his followers and those followers are criminals. There is no peaceful way to overthrow. Wish it were not so.

The US military wouldn't keep it, too honorable. They'd give it back to We the People after taking out the trash, which is piled very high and deep in Washington.
If they don't, We the People may have to.

My country right or wrong applies to something else. This is not the country we want or the country we had. It certainly will not be the country we agreed on in the Constitution if this all continues with obozo as it has.
We are experiencing an overthrow of the government and Constitution without due process and the only way I can see to reverse it is with counter action of the same type.
Sedition can have a very broad interpretation, treason not so much. Obozo is aidint abetting the destruction of the United States by weakening it and thus aiding foreign powers in the ultimate ovethrow or destruction of the United States ...Treason.

9. There's a key in the upper-right of your keyboard reading "Print Screen", or similar...
Hit that button. Then open Paint or some image editing program, and hit ctrl-V (paste).

Then save the file, and upload it to flickr, imageshack, or any of a dozen other picture hosting sites.

screenshot. If you want to do just a section you do Shift - Apple key and 4. Your cursor will turn into a crosshair. Hold down the mouse button and drag the cursor over the area you want to capture, then release.

click drag - like making a box. when you release, the image will be captured... although for this kind of thing grabbing the entire screen might be easiest - just adding the other option if you like to grab just the browser window

19. I wish the Freepers would explain something...
Like how in the hell they stood around cheerleading George Bush as he totally
destroyed our democracy?

They told us we were unpatriotic when we dared to question that our privacy rights
were being infringed when Bush illegally wiretapped.

When we had to stand in "free speech zones" and protest--miles from where Bush was
speaking--that was all fine and dandy.

When the failed Iraq war--bankrupted our nation--they attacked us all when we tried to
draw attention the billions we were wasting. They could have cared less about our
deficit or national debt when Bush had the checkbook.

When Bush stripped away Habeas Corpus--we were mocked and told we didn't care about
national security.

But now...NOW these freaks want to kill people and storm the castle because their poor
country is being destroyed?

Give. Me. A. Freakin. Break.

82. I will say this...
I'm totally unhappy with all of Obama's decisions/policies related to every point you lay out. You are totally
right.

The problem I have with the Freepers is this--THEY are not intellectually or morally consistent. They scare me.
Their hair is on fire right now--but when it was Bush doing the same things--they mocked us.

When Bush was in office, I screamed against his unConstitutional decisions and his destruction of the country. I rally
against Obama, when he does the same things. I don't put up with Obama not reinstating Habeas. In fact, that was one
of the primary reasons I agreed to be a precinct captain for him. He said he would give back Habeas and he even mentioned
that he would do this in his "Blueprint For America". So yeah, I'm pissed. I'm also ticked about Afghanistan, immunity for
the telcos, Guantanamo, and big Pharma/big Insurance deciding who lives or dies.

I am consistent, but the Freeper yahoos are not. You wait, if a Republican takes the White House in 2012--they'll be
rationalizing every horrid move.

So yes, the Freepers are saying they don't like things now--but they have no credibility. I don't want to be on the
same side with a bunch of hypocrites--because when a Repub does the same things--they look the other way! They want
Fascism, as long as the party in power is wearing their uniform.

92. By "revolution" you mean an enthusiastic return to participatory democracy, right?
We are a large group of people here in the US - all of the groups you blame for our current less than optimal situation are very small. If we participate, write letters, sign petitions, strikes, make a fuss generally (but civilly and respectfully with viable solutions to offer and agreed upon demands), we can easily get what we all agree we'd like to see happening here. We also need to communicate, so that we all understand that we're here together, rather than little islands suffering at the hand of the powerful.

The problem is we (the vast majority of Americans - you can include me there) have not been participating fully and communicating with one another effectively for decades. That's how we got to here.

But the entire discussion is based on a News max op ed.

What part of this isn't treason? Really, this is a call to overthrow the elected government of the United States. (As usual).

I'm sure all our stuff is being funneled through a tiny AT&T building in San Francisco... some things haven't changed too much as of yet... this may well be a very good reason why is hasn't, or shouldn't.

I've actually been in that Central Office before doing work (Not the secure room my badge wouldn't work :P - And yes I've read everything written by the AT&T whistleblower)...

But the dumbed down statement that all our stuff is being monitored is just stupid. A fraction of traffic was monitored..AT&T and two other providers...

Do you actually work for Juniper Networks? That would explain a lot  ( Go google Juniper Networks now :) )

You'll be happy to know that some telecommunications providers did not break the law at any time, followed the law as it relates to CALEA. :)

how many "backbones" do you think are out there? Are you reffering the the GDC ATM backbone MFS used to have back in the day? Maybe you reffering to the frame relay backbones of the world. Cascade was a great company....oh, are you talking about the numerous IP Backbones by all the Telecom companies. Sprint has two, yep TWO backbones for IP traffic, one for DIA with no COS and a second for their VPN and VoIP customers.

do you know what peering connections are by the way???

39. They are just stoking up a crazy lone wolf to pull a trigger.
Since, the wingers haven't shown any motivation to actually fight in a real war or battle.

It's the lone wolf that needs health care to give him some counseling and meds before he goes off the deep end.

Winger churches are able to recruit these folks since the only place to go to help ease the torment of the various forms of crazy are these churches. The preachers know they are one suggestion away from being a murderer.

Messages like this are as dangerous an Osama bin Laden taped call to activate.

"Wanted: One modern-day Oswald who can rid us of this meddlesome president and is willing to endure the consequences. That way, we can all sit back with a sigh of relief while he takes one for the team."

It's disgusting--and, as some here have pointed out, highly ironic considering the actions of the president before him, and how he was put in office, compared to this one and what he's done so far.

Now, I realize why they were there. Initially they just seemed like they were out of place and a side discussion. They even had a picture that repeatedly showed Kennedy's head being shot.

Holy shit. I wish I had copied the Kennedy discussion as well.

What I started to post above was
I'm sure the wingers have expensive exotic weapons; furthermore, I'm sure their battle field experience gained from sitting in tree stands waiting for man-eating deer and killer rabbits has honed their skills to perfection. However, their unorganized, undisciplined mob would result in a ridiculous Cheneyian friendly fire disaster that would be comedy if it weren't deadly.

It would be a sad, sad event.

43. Someone please explain to me
I just don’t understand how the things they are doing, basically destroying our economy and way of life, mangling our laws and trampling on the Constitution,

I can see how someone might think Obama and the dems are destroying our economy. I wouldn't agree, but I could see a rational way of thinking that. But honestly, how has our way of life changed? What laws have been mangled? How has the Constitution been trampled? When we accused Bush of mangling the Constitution, we could point to examples -- mostly of illegal wiretapping and imprisonment. What in hell are they talking about? Do they ever say?

Which is ironic, given the crowd they're preaching to. And also the fact that they can't spell their own name.

94. No, it's beginning to die, I think.
Not because America is evolving into a progressive paradise, of course, but because the plutocrats aren't playing by the rules. Rank-and-file wingnuts are dismayed to discover that their white skins no longer get them the same old privileges, that they are after all just so much more grist for the mill...little different from all those poor, brown people.

Their outrage is thunderous, if not pitiable.

These are the same people that used the reasoning that, since the army doesn't teach soldiers to shoot over 400 meters (which sounds like bs - what about snipers? lmao), their units of fat and retarded rednecks, 20 at most, should be able to take on the entire US military. One dumbass even suggested an "Assault Wheelbarrow," where they would shoot with the wheelbarrow, and then pretend that they were just a civilian using a wheelbarrow after the shot was fired to create confusion. I'm not kidding.

They're not going to do anything. They only know how to whine.
