One of my good friends comes back to work today

She has lupus and failing kidneys as a result. She's on the waiting list for at least one new kidney. She's coming back just in time for flu season with a compromised immune system. Why is she coming back? Because she is near the end of the time she can keep her health insurance through work and so has to come back and work for a month in order to continue it.

This is exactly why we need a public option. :(

2. Our political system has become so sick

We are bought and paid for by the corporations. The story above makes no sense in that a person can not afford health care if they don't work and if they are sick they can't work, and no doubt get sicker by having to go to work. This a.m. the right wing nuts can only talk about Cost not health care. Our whole system is hurt economically and physically due to the greed of the corps. Our vote means nothing compared to the dollars spent by corps to keep Their man/woman in congress to vote us out and the corps in.

The right wing nuts want to save the fetus. Right, then after it is born they want to discard it. Must be gods will?!

Who requested and recieved 6 months paid recovery time that actually helped him recover without stress.
