NPR's "The Story" on Wed, UHC denied payment for twins
to couple who paid their premiums prior to birth, now they are $400,000+ in debt from hospital bills. I'm trying to find a link on their website, but not familiar with the NPR site. The couple didn't get pre-authorized for twins, so United HealthCare is screwing them for the bills plus won't reimburse their premiums they paid prior to it. They even disconnect when the family calls as matter of policy.

5. Have you seen the new commercial Assley is running? I saw it
for the first time last night, and I was projectile :puke: :puke: :puke: !

They showed a picture of the nasty prick's smug, smiling puss on the screen, with the narrative that he was doing everything in his power to protect Medicare for seniors while allowing them to maintain their relationships with their doctors without any government interference or red tape! :banghead:

I really hope there is a special place in hell for this duplicitous motherfucker!

from the insurance company, and hospital. Wish I heard the whole episode, so I could narrow down what state this couple lives in. Any help with a link to the episode, or other info is appreciated.

on edit: Here is the link...from American Public Media

I Thought I had Insurance

I THOUGHT I HAD INSURANCE

Heather and Greg Mroz can certainly appreciate the health care debate. The two have been insured and uninsured at different times in their lives. Earlier this year Greg was laid off. Knowing Heather was pregnant with twins, he arranged to continue their coverage with the same provider. They paid insurance premiums directly to the company. The insurer took the money, but after the delivery, they refused to pay the claim. And it is a lot of money: more than $450,000. Heather and Greg join Dick Gordon to talk about their recent health care debacle.

4. The actions of the insurnace company were an utter disgrace - I was listening
to this last night, and the company's response to the couple's requests were nothing short of depraved indifference.

7. Like you plan to have twins.
I know I didn't.

Oh, and I bet twins are probably a pre-existing condition. 30-40% of post twin pregnancies are MORE TWINS.
