Imus New Faux Show...Off To A Roaring Thud...
I got this in an email newsletter this morning:

Radio’s Don Imus is a star on Fox Business News – but the numbers are still small.
Certainly small by comparison with the reach of the I-Man’s syndicated radio show. Such is the tiny universe of startup Fox Biz that getting an average of 177,000 viewers is a huge improvement over the previous levels – only about 21,000, says Steve Krakauer in Media-ite. And it’s not just the Fox Business universe that’s so small, by the standards of radio. Don Imus’ average first-day count of 177,000 is more than CBNC’s September average for its long-established Squawk Box. Three points here - #1, Fox Biz isn’t a full-service client of Nielsen yet. #2, the Nielsen numbers for everybody are probably under-reporting reality, since a lot of business-channel viewing happens outside the home and is probably missed by Nielsen. And #3, radio should take this as a kick in the pants to get out there and talk about its unparalleled reach. Imus' national numbers on Fox Business are smaller than what he produces on WABC Radio in New York.

I threw it on for a brief moment and saw them complaining about all the cable systems that faux isn't on. Doesn't sound like this shotgun marriage is off to a good start.

2. The Fox Asshole Network......
Maybe they can give Michael Savage and John Bolton shows, just to cement their standing.

3. Are people finally tiring of angry white men ranting first thing in the morning?
I know conservatives that listen to NPR "because they don't shout at me."

4. The Show Looks Tired...
I used to check out Imus prior to 9/11...after that I couldn't tolerate the right wing bullshit and outright racism that oozed from the show.

From the few minutes I saw, didn't look like there's much change...they just look older and crankier. Not the way I like to wake up.

The more he throws down this rathole, the less he has to spend on his other venom spewers.
