2. Perhaps his show, especially his special comments
should be shown in Congress.

18. That implies that they're merely 'out of touch,' when the reality is they DON'T CARE

3. Yeah, but I doubt he wants to move to Montana
Or Nebraska.... or Arkansas.... or Lousiana...... You know, the states where we need a Democratic senator NOW.

It would be OK with me if he replaced Schumer though, since he lives in NY.

to my knees and worship.

But I do revere Olbermann mostly because - of all the so-called "mainstream media," his is one of the few voices actually saying what needs to be said, and making the points that need to be made. And as his presentations grow in boldness and even bombast, it just serves to thrust that message out farther into the open and toward center state. The louder and more forceful he gets, and the bigger his podium, the farther and more impactful that message becomes.

The bad guys have many multiples of Keith Olbermann. limbaugh, beck, that-guy-whose-name-rhymes-with-Vanity, savage, ingraham, schlessinger, hedgecock, levin, elder, coulter, doyle, medved, prager, malkin, dobbs, o'reilly, morgan, taitz, hewitt, dennis miller, michael reagan, and any number of local wannabes in various markets and the list is literally ENDLESS. And of course I neglected to include AN ENTIRE FUCKING CABLE NETWORK solely devoted to pushing the CONservative agenda!!! I subscribe to "Talkers" magazine and every year they put out a "Heavy Hundred" list of the most influential talkshowmeisters. Year after year after year, that list is CONSISTENTLY dominated by vast majority of CONservatives. VAST majority. Even in the past few years when Thom Hartmann, Stephanie Miller, Ed Shultz, Ron Reagan and a tiny handful of others from the Left actually have begun to make it onto that list, the sheer size of the opposition that still outnumbers them is nearly staggering. And even after our side has been able to grow a few talkers of our own. Mike Malloy hardly ever shows up on there. Randi Rhodes not enough, either. We just don't have that kind of bench strength in those kinds of numbers, on that level of exposure with broadcast companies LOADED with CONservative on-air people in syndication across the country. It's just RIDICULOUSLY lopsided. Anyone here who picked up any copy of "Talkers" from ANY month and flipped through its pages and/or noted its ads and who's being promoted and saluted and feted and given awards and so forth would see their blood pressure pushed up, sometimes by a LOT.

So YEAH. I lionize Keith Olbermann. We have a few little oases cropping up in an incredibly vast desert. The bad guys have an entire greenbelt. No, an entire CONTINENT. We need MANY more loudmouths like him on OUR side to start balancing things out again, and to start forcibly pushing OUR worldview to a broader audience pool. I'm damn glad we even HAVE an Olbermann there. At least it's SOMEBODY!!!

Worship? Hardly. Jumping up and down and high-fiving and shouting and dancing and cheering with triumphant fists in the air? Absolutely!!!!

7. He probably does belong in the Senate, but I'm glad he's not.
He has more power on television, and he's really good at it.

13. not likely. i learned from one of the best congressional analysts in academia --
the skills that are needed to succeed -- be any measure -- as a congresscritter are vastly different from the skills needed to succeed as a critic, analyst, commentator, or advocate.

i don't know that ko lacks those skills, but he's SO good at doing what he's doing that it's hard to imagine him being even more successful or effective at something so completely different.

14. NO! NO! NO!
He has much more power talking directly to millions of Americans on MSNBC and YouTube.

And he will be corrupted in the Senate.

He belongs on the Nightly News on NBC. In fact just replace the nightly news program with MSNBC Countdown.
