this has got to be the craziest and stupidest post in the history of freeperville
To: sourcery

Incorrect. If Obama is found “Ineligable”, he will be removed from office. If he is a naturalized citizen, he will be tried for treason, remember he is a constitutional lawyer, so that is malice aforethought. Biden could not become Pres, because his ticket is fraudulent. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, and Howard Dean are complict as co-conspirators, as they vetted Obama, so jail time is in their future. Probably, it would be Ex-President Bush, who would retake the reigns until a new President is Elected. It would be virgin teritory, and would set new precidence. Since Bush is the last standing president, with the most recent experience, he would be the logical choice, however, there is a list to go down, and 95 year old Steny Hoyer would be next in line...
It will be interesting to say the least.

They'd be wise to read the succession act. Even if there idiotic idea was somehow true, the former President isn't brought back

Psst, freepers, after the speaker of the house is the president pro tempore of the senate, which is Robert Byrd, not Harry Reid. So Byrd would become president if Obama, Biden, & Pelosi all got removed from office at the same time.

WOAH IS THIS TRUE?

I honestly thought someone posted an Onion article. Aren't astronauts smart? I thought you had to be educated? No one educated could make such a ludacris statement based on naked eye visual observation. Well I used to be a fan of space, but now since they are sending up nuttly leg wing weirdo's I think I will stop donating and most likely donate to any organization who is anti-NASA. I want space exploration, not another "zany made up piece of "science" that they can use to justify increasing capitalism crushing taxes and property siezure"

48. Someone should point him to the Presidential Succession Act of 1947
The Presidential Succession Act covers pretty much every possible way that a President can be removed from office, and is binding on the Executive today. This isn't virgin territory, it's established law that has existed for over 60 years. In order, here is the current line of Presidential succession:

1 Vice President Joe Biden
2 Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi
3 President pro tempore of the Senate Robert Byrd
4 Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
5 Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner
6 Secretary of Defense Robert Gates<2>
7 Attorney General Eric Holder
8 Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar
9 Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack
10 Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke
11 Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis
12 Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius
13 Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan
14 Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood
15 Secretary of Energy Steven Chu
16 Secretary of Education Arne Duncan
17 Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki
18 Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano

If this guy were right (Biden booted from office as part of a "corrupt ticket" and Pelosi charged), Robert Byrd would become President. Since Byrd is a fossil with health problems, there's a really good chance that he'd pass it up and Hillary Clinton would become president.

And, at that moment, the skulls of every Teabagger in the United States would explode in unison.

These people are so far into Bizarro World, it's both funny and scary. Line of succession? We don't need no stinkin' line of succession! In their feeble little fantasy, all those pesky people (the Veep, the Speaker -- you know, that list that is mandated in the Constitution) can be hand-waved away and Wheee! it's GWB come back to save the day! They found Wiki and the bible too liberal. They'd probably find WikiConstitution too reality based and liberal. I think it would have to be the Conservistution.

96. The Freepers are divided on what will follow Obama's disqualification
There are those, like the one quoted in the OP, who envision a new election (although I think this one is unique in conjuring up a Bush regency for the interim).

There are those who think McCain would be President (either because he got a majority of the electoral votes that were cast for eligible candidates, or because, with Obama not eligible, no one eligible had a majority of the electoral votes, so the House must choose between the top two candidates, but Obama's still ineligible, so the House must choose from a list that includes only McCain). In the McCain-becomes-President faction, there are two subfactions. One says that Biden, owing his election to Obama's fraud, is similarly disqualified, so Palin becomes VP. The other envisions a McCain-Biden administration, which, one must admit, would be interesting.

To be fair to the Freepers, I must report that there are even a few who think Biden would become President. In Freeperville, the moderates are the ones who believe that the Muslim socialist Kenyan-born usurper will soon be replaced by Biden.

There are a few FR skeptics who, while agreeing that Obama is an enemy of America who is deliberately destroying the country, nevertheless pessimistically doubt that he will be removed from office. The majority opinion, however, seems to be very gung-ho about the birther stuff. Obama's departure from the White House in disgrace is considered to be probable or even certain. Along with the discussion about the succession (see above), the most common subject of Freeper comment is the race rioting that they expect to ensue.

I mean, I understand that nobody has a perception of reality that perfectly matches actual reality, but dammit, they're not even getting close.

121. Maybe Biden is some sort of double agent
Amtrak, which competes with private, for-profit bus companies, is part of the socialist takeover plot, isn't it? So if Biden has figured out a way to fleece them on his ticket, he's fighting against Communism, right?

But since all of us here favor Communism, maybe we should be suspicious of Biden.

Or maybe we should just be grateful for Free Republic, for the days when there's nothing funny on television.
