Go out to the membership and ask them why they are leaving. Paul Morin Legion Commander the one who took the picture with Bush saying we need to fund the troops just like the President wants. Gary Kurpius the Commander of the VFW sent emails out calling for Veterans to call the Dem's and tell them to vote for Bush's Iraq funding without time lines. Call on VFW members saying I need you help We need more members to many are leaving. LOL hey ass wipe if you were not a right wing nut case and fought for vets as hard as you two do for Bush. You would have new members. They are getting what they deserve. I can not stop LOL about this one.

3. There's an old guy here who keeps trying to get my husband to join..

the American Legion. He stopped by the house just the other night. My husband keeps telling him "No thanks". He was actually considering joining at one time, and when they didn't endorse Tammy Duckworth in the election that tore it for him. The old fella'got a little whiny and told mryouthere "If no one joins we're going to end up closing!" to which my darling husband replied "Well, maybe you need to."

4. I got a personal invitation from the American Legion and I am not even a veteran. I often wondered

what would have happened if I had sent in the application. But I wasn't about to get nailed for impersonating a veteran so I didn't. Plus it would have been disrespectful to the real veterans. But I thought they must be pretty desperate if they are sending invites to random males. Maybe they confused me with someone else. Or maybe I really did serve in Nam and it messed me up so badly I have blocked it all out.
