Send in helicopters to airlift every one of our guys out right now. Leave charges attached to all the gear that would be left behind so that, as the chopeprs leave, we blow the shit out of everything to reduce it to sand and rubble.

No weapons for the so called bad guys to use.

We get our guys home.

We use the saved money to pay for health care for all.

If it was up to me it would absolutely go toward covering health care for all instead of underwriting death and destruction for many.

Besides, no outsiders seem to have gotten ANYWHERE in Afghanistan, EVER. The odds of our succeeding there aren't good, either.

All the verbiage spent on excuses about how long a withdrawal would take and how difficult it would be is ridiculous, IMO. No command worth its salt goes into battle without withdrawal plans. If the CinC ordered it, the Pentagon could dust off plan C and bug out.

3. Something that is probably in the equation as to

whether to stay or come home is the current unemployment figures. Many of the troops over there are National Guard and if they are brought home, they would expect to go back to their day jobs which no longer exist. Cold hearted? Sure. Realistic? Sure. Unconscionable? You bet.
