Why is NBC spending so much time on Letterman??

Is it because he used to be with NBC before he went to CBS? Is there someone at NBC out to seek revenge? It seems that they are spending an inordinate amount of time on David Letterman? Is it really that interesting of a story??

Goes into great detail about the Leno/Letterman feud.

It's too bad. Some of my favorite parts from Letterman's original show were the bits where Leno was his guest. Leno did a bit called, "What gets my beef." which was pretty funny.
