White Coats

It turns out that the symbol for respect and intimidation
that doctors have been wearing for years is a germ carrier.
Turns out that the New York Times story on the AMA’s
findings that white doctor’s coats carry germs from
patient to patient between washings was a bit too late
for the White House P.R. staff. It wasn’t enough just to
gather doctors who see a benefit in having a government
led health care plan for all, like Medicare, the choices Congress
enjoy and the one that serves the Armed Services and V.A.
When I think of white coats, I also wonder about the psychos
in the Republican party who are crazy at best and traitorous at
worst. Putting more Congressmen on the crazy pile doesn’t
make one less crazy but more avoidable as a group. Who is advising
this behavior? Borrowing slogans used by Democrats against Bush
doesn’t negate the crazy, criminal and traitorous actions of Bush Inc.
but reminds us all of those. At least Bush knows when to shut up and
stay off the airwaves.
White coating….I think of white washing. White washing what is
really going on with people living in this country and the disconnect
of our wishes for affordable health care plans to those plans the
insurers want huge profits from.
Let's lose all the white coats and white washing. Let's have
representatives and doctors who actually work for us, not those corporations
who keep them in office and offices.
