a comparison someone sent me via email...
Number of phone calls to the Hill President Obama made in support of the public option . . . 0.

Number of overseas trips President Obama made in support of Chicago's Olympic bid . . . 1.

Personally, I noted to my "friend" that this 1-0 score pales in comparison with the number of White House meetings with insurance executives versus the number of White House meetings with single-payer proponents.

1. It is totally beyond my comprehension that people are really getting their panties in a wad
over the few hours that President Obama spent in Copenhagen.
If he had not gone, and Chicago lost, these same people would be yelling about his NOT going to Copenhagen.

Even morons think these people are idiots.

2. I believe the actual issue is Obama's refusal to take a stand on the public option.
...and that's completely valid, despite the poor comparisons some choose to make.

4. I can see that as a valid complaint..but it is the repukes who are also whining about Copehagen...
As has been pointed out, pres shit-for-brains went to the Olympics for days, and sat there and did nothing but embarrass us...
and there certainly were some hi-priority things on his plate..

5. Cons would complain if Obama shit gold and flowers
They are ultimately unimportant.

I agree with the above poster though.

Why does the Olympics seem to get more attention the most important issue of the day?

Does Obama want a Public Option or not?
