1. Oh for cryin' out loud ...
One must posses a sense of humor to appreciate satire or parody. Vicious mocking is NOT funny ... and they seem to confuse that with satire.

3. interesting quote
"The way I look at it, almost every comedy show or satire show I see uses the same talking points against George W. Bush and Dick Cheney," Surnow said. "The other side hasn't been skewered in a fair and balanced way."

skewered...in a fair and balanced way.

we haven't taken enough "fair and balanced" shots at the left.

What the hell is FOX about then?

7. According to Radar (they've seen it), it will NEVER see the light of day:
http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2007/01/fncs-daily-show-ripoff-falls-flat.php

FNC's Daily Show Rip-off Falls Flat

Breathe easy, Jon Stewart. It's looking like the satire program billed as Fox News Channel's answer to The Daily Show will combine the timeliness of Newsweek with the incisive wit of Mallard Fillmore. So far, Fox has taped two episodes of The Half-Hour News Hour, as the show is being called. (Its working title, This Just In, had to be scrapped, as AOL has a broadband channel with that name.)

Producer Joel Surnow, whose credits also include 24, has described the show as a cross between Comedy Central's Daily Show and Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" segment. A source who attended the tapings describes the format as far more similar to the latter, with a two-anchor setup and skits interspersed with the talking-head segments. "It was hit and miss—some stuff was inspired, and some was droppable, to say the least," says the source. Not surprisingly, he adds, most of the jokes had a conservative slant.

Comedians Kurt Long and Susan Yeagley share anchor duties, and toss to a cast of correspondents that includes original Daily Show cast member Brian Unger. Guests so far have included Rush Limbaugh (who bragged about appearing in a skit as the president, with Ann Coulter as his vice president), comedian Dom Irrera, and original Hollywood Squares host Peter Marshall. While early reports on the show promised a January debut, as of now, no air date has been set.

They're USED to pouring money down the tubes in the effort of brainwashing people.

The problem here is that, simply, conservatives AREN'T FUNNY.

12. "Everybody who is in power should get shots equally"???
Do these people even watch The Daily Show? Good grief. Jon Stewart & co. have been primarily making fun of Republicans because Republicans have been in power. Now that the Democrats control Congress, they'll start poking fun at them (in fact, I'm pretty sure they already have). You (not the OP; I'm using the general "you" here) think they didn't make fun of Clinton when he was in office? And George W. Bush - well, that guy's a walking joke anyway, or he would be if he weren't in charge of our country. Yeah, TDS tends to be liberal, but so what? South Park is a "conservative" show and you don't hear liberals bitching about that...in fact, a lot of my friends (who are also liberals) and I find it pretty funny. I think that's a major difference between conservatives and liberals (stereotypically speaking, of course - there are exceptions to every rule). We are able to laugh at ourselves (most of the time); they are less likely to be able to do so. Or at least that's how I see it.

13. 24 fans: "Joel Surnow, co-creator of "24," is shooting two half-hour pilots...
of a skein he described as " 'The Daily Show' for conservatives," due to air in primetime on Saturdays in January."

Yeah, and 24 isn't rightwing propaganda in any way.

Not to mention a Republican one who was implicated for treason for OKing terrorist attacks against his own country. :eyes:

20. Wow! I thought the regular Fox News programming was satire.
They come up with the funniest shit sometimes. e.g. Bill O'Reilly's Coit Tower comments, labeling Republicans as Democrats with the on-screen titles.

What's that?.....They're serious?.....Really?

Oh, that's just sad.

22. Bet the program is equipped with a laugh track too.
Freeps are known not to be able to think independently (the sole reason Fox Noise even exists),
they will need a cue to know when it's time to laugh and slap their knees.

Of course, with that vixen Coulter on stage, their hands are probably already busy, but they could
still manage a few robust guffaws.

it will be watched :)

I'll bet that the ratings will include MORE liberals than anything if it airs, so anticomedic and pathetic that we'll be drawn to it like moths to a flame..

It will be "funny" in ways the producer can't imagine.. DUMB, PERVERTED, RETARDED, take your choice :)

unless told otherwise.

This show should be a trainwreck.
