So there was a school shooting
Edited on Mon Apr-16-07 04:23 PM by otherlander
And here we are
And people can't do anything but yell at each other.
Because there's death everywhere, and hate, so much hate that
we are playing the dead against one another.
Dead here dead there dead everywhere as reasons to yell at
each other because we think different and only the dead are
the same,
because there are killers everywhere, and so the dead are
coming in from campuses and streets from America from Baghdad
from Tikrit from Virginia Tech the names and numbers of
the dead are coming in
who in life did not know each other did not have anything
against one another,
yet people stand throwing the names of the dead like weapons
at one another as if the dead were enemies
I only watch.
more dead again.

So I guess I understand what people here are doing. It must
feel better to scream without end than to watch the names of
the dead come in.

1. You need to get yourself a firearm... it'll solve everything.

2. Right you are. The pro gun lobby will be out in full force tonight..fighting
so no tragedy takes place today in their eyes... a tragedy for them would be if somehow all the discussion about the school shooting resulted in "one" fewer pro gun nuts.

Watch for them.

They will show up on every second thread.

They have no shame.

7. No, you need to make people feel guilty for not already . . .
HAVING A firearm. Yeah. Cuz we all know none of this would have happened if we were all armed.

Do I really need this: :sarcasm:

9. No.
But the school already had a rule against guns on campus. A reasonable rule. So it's not as if the shooting happened because the school didn't have enough rules against guns.

4. Well said...
I'm sick of the "my dead are more important than your dead" mentality.

When the actions of the world calls for civility and respect, DU goes ballistic... pardon the pun.

8. Every last one... including those who did the shooting
I can't imagine the pain someone must be in to lash out like that.

I feel sorry for the "terrorists" too. No human being should be put in a position where they think that violence is an answer to any problem.

I feel badly for Iraqis and Americans and the dwindling coalition.

I sometimes even feel badly for W... the delusions can't be easy.
