snopes says Hungersite is legit, and wiki goes into more detail explaining how it works, if you're skeptical.

you give much more, though, if you click on a sponsor's link from the hungersite page, so take the time to click twice, if you have the energy.

freerice.com allows you to play a vocabulary game to donate rice, and if you're ambitious, you can use a bot player that does it for you, generating a LOT more food. problem is, it may be getting abused

I know it's wikipedia, but their explanations of both these sites seem satisfactory

these don't seem to be scammers, like the 'charity' creeps who take free clothes and other goods, then sell them to support their gazillion dollar lifestyles, while actually donating a tiny percentage of their income to charitable causes

it's the first thing i do each morning ... the reminder email has a link ... click on the animal site ... then click on the related sites for hunger, education, breast cancer displayed at the top of the page.
