If a "bank" is deemed to big to fail....
Shouldn't it be broken up under the anti-trust laws?

If a bank is so enmeshed with the economy that it poses a threat to the economy, that bank should be broken up.

Why are we trying to save them if they are hell bent on ruining the middle class?

Attorney General Holder, Bust 'em...

2. I don't myself know the details of the anti-trust laws well enough to say...
If they don't apply, however, there should be additions made. No company should be able to credibly threaten the country.

3. One would think so! Whatever happened to the Sherman Antitrust Act? To me it appears

we have several monopolies running the banking system for the most part in this country... then, we are told many of those on Wall Street deserve excessive bonuses and the whole malarkey because only they know how to run these entities. And we have a congress bought and owned for the most part by corporate donations... what a farce.

4. The SATA needs to be enforced. It hasn't been in a long time.

5. A case could be made that a entity whose very failure could
cause massive disruption in the US could be considered a monopolistic company.

7. We all agree, certainly many more, but probably nothing much will happen...

For example, I try to vote for the right people, continuously, but things one would consider logical and prudent do not seem to happen, anymore, in the US. I think there is such an intertwining between congress, corporations, lobbyists and political contributions that it is almost an insurmountable effort to go against the corporate interests in today's America.

And I find that very sad because today not a small number of corporations act against the best interests for the future of America. And the misinformation and manipulation today of an individual's views and the swaying of public opinion is far in excess of decades past.

Money, greed, power and politics combined don't make for the best of worlds for the majority. We used to have a democracy, but that's long gone.

...just ranting and raving.
