Wow! They hate the Fed government there and seem to be doing very well economically...better than any other state. So, since they are doing so well, will they stop taking the Federal subsidies that they receive? I think not. How do they compare re what they receive vs what they return to the Fed. government? Anyone have the latest report on this. I'm just curious.

1. let's see about North Dakota and its strangle hold on health reform...
population = according to the US census n google, 641,481
number of US senators = 2

Riverside County, California population = Population -: 2,073,571 (2007)from google
number of US senators = 2

So you get one corporate welfare apologist senator from North Dakota who effectively shuts down health insurance industry reform on the one hand and perpetuates the corporate farmer welfare machine on the other hand, then prevents everyone else in the nation from getting reasonable health care reform.

Doesn't sound very democratic to me.

3. Fargo is still a boom town, despite the recession.
People around here will scream bloody murder if you try to take any subsidies away from them, especially agricultural subsidies.
