28. I agree. They said that the students at VA Tech come from 49 states

and from 36 countries, I think, so this horrific incident is affecting everyone, from all over. I'm keeping my friend in VA up to speed on this, thanks to DU, since his daughter called him about this and he's trying to follow the news. Both of his kids have friends there. The president of France just expressed his condolences and Bush* is "praying for the victims and their families." *sigh* ;(

The high winds from the storm that hit last night made evacuation to better medical facilities a problem as everyone had to be moved via ambulance.

(the student and my daughter grew up together until we moved) and he was on a road trip at the time. I'll give him time to get where he's going, and then call back. It might be later before I get word. But, I'll let you know.

here knew someone at VT and was hoping we had no worse news than had already happened. With 32 dead, there are about 10 times or more touched ..mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandmothers, grandfathers, uncles, aunts, neices, nephews, cousins...friends, lovers, classmates.
