So I turned on BBC for my first news and
saw the Obamas landing in Copenhagen. They mentioned that Lula from Brazil was there and so was the king of Spain and their political leadership.

I remember Tony Blair showing up for England 's Olympic bid. What's the fugging big deal about Obama spending a few hours campaigning for his home state's Olympic bid? I thought this would thrill the private sector and create several jobs if they win the bid? Rethugs make me sick - they have one approach - just say no.

1. Its another opportunity for the right wing to attack Obama
Their plan since November has been attack everything the President does and then run Palin in 2012 so we can have another witless President.

4. The fact that she's political death
who would be bested by Obama in a landslide simply doesn't enter their minds. Nothing wrong with that, let 'em run Palin and fail epically.

3. The Whine & Cheese Party...
If it's cloudy in Washington today, be sure Boner will come out and blame it on Obama and then say this is proof there isn't global warming.

Today we have a massive right wing hate media...faux noise and hundreds of hate radio stations constantly echoing the latest "outrage" or talking point. They need red meat...and lots of it. If they can't find a legitimate beef, they make one up but the anger and bile has to keep flowing. Besides turning these people into hypocritical fools it leads them to say stupid things just to say something.

This reminds me of the efforts against Clinton during his first year. Their media machine wasn't anywhere near as loud as it is today but it was able to beat him down with a combination of Hillarycare and Whitewater to drive his negatives high going into the '94 elections and putting him in a box. They want to do the same with President Obama but he's not playing the same game. It pisses them no end that he's moving ahead with his agenda and they just want to "smack the smirk" off his face. All the venom they've let loose over the past couple years against the President has made him stronger yet they know if they don't destroy him they will end up destroying themselves.

It's not just the fact President Obama is showing in Copenhagen that honks the wingnuts off, it's Chicago...the city that has its GOOP meetings in a phone booth...the epitome of "machine politics". Wanna bet had the bid been for Dallas and the president choked on pretzels, Boner would be issuing proclamations of support and would be on the junket getting ripped on our dime.

My new game each day now is to find the poutrage of the day...

Didn't their dear Mitt hit the big times thanks to Salt Lake City Olympics? How come they don't discuss the corrupt Rethug people in Utah who bought off all those votes to win the bid?
Fugg them :hi: :fistbump:

5. But they would be jobs in Chicago. And Chicago is bad now. Didn't you know?
The right wing now uses "Chicago" as a stand in for the word "corrupt."

11. I think it is beneath the presidency.

I don't think it's the worst thing that can be done to belittle the presidency but it does cheapen the office.

12. The Republicans will take every opportunity to criticize Obama,
since they can't just come out and say what they really want to say. They don't like the fact that he's black, and since they know if they said that outright it would create a condemnation of them, they will pick on everything else instead.

They're racists, and the fact that he blinks his eyes and breathes air bothers them.

They are the party of hate.

16. I don't think it's a big deal.
And he's not campaigning for his home city or state. He's campaigning for the entire county and, last I checked, he was the leader of this country.
