They Deserve Better...Letters from Dead Soldiers
I read an article in Newsweek that has letters from some of the 3250+ soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who have been killed in combat in Iraq. Their families shared these letters with Newsweek because they wanted America to know that there are real human beings with children and wives, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters who sacrificed more than their lives, they sacrificed their futures and their relationships.

There is a video link with letters and audio tapes. They are heartbreaking. These people deserve better than the pathetic loser of a commander they have. They deserve a Congress that will finally hold someone to account for the failures and lies that got us into this situation and they deserve a public who will demand they are given the best benefits, medical treatment and equipment to ensure they come home as quickly and safely as possible.

Obviously britney spears, anna nichole, and last week imus was "more important"

9 days after 9/11 Wes Clark was told by an associate in the Pentagon that they were going into Iraq. Clark asked if it was because Hussein, and Iraq were behind 9/11, Clark's associate told him no, it had nothing to do with 9/11...

Until the country comes to the realization that invading Iraq was an unethical and immoral, based on lies nothing will happen

I suspect we will be in Iraq for some time. People do not realize the human toll, ON BOTH SIDES, or the cost, that will have to eventually be paid back

Wes Clark told of another experience when he was in Serbia. They were using cluster bombs to destroy some weapon systems, and the bomb was dropped at too high of an altitute. A school house in a village was hit because of that error. A few weeks later, Clark received a letter from the mayor of that village. It said something to this effect: General Clark, I am the mayor of this villiage where a bomb was dropped on a school house. My grand-daughter was killed in that incident. I hate you General Clark, and I will kill you.

Clark related this incident to make a point that we are creating a whole generation of people who hate us and will NOT forget their children, grandchildren, parents, husbands and wives we have killed

2. The majority of the American public is ignorant
Not only of world history but also of other cultures, the Constitution, legal principles, politics, relgion and countless other basic educational foundations.

But we know all about Anna Nicole and Don Imus and who the current hollywood it person is fucking.

I weep for my country.
