Poll question: Blue State/Red State distribution of DUers.....
Because I love pointless stats and graphs, I'm curious as to what portion of DUers reside in the so-called blue states and red states (based on the 2004 vote). Granted, I think 2008's map will be much bluer.
I'm in Michigan, one of the few, the proud, the blue from 2004.

31. me too!
Nobody around here has Dem stickers on their car except me. Wisconsin is light blue but my county is very very red--someone said it is the county with the most repub votes in the nation. That's because most red counties are sparsely populated and rural, while metro areas are blue. My county is a commuter county near Milwaukee so is more densly populated than the average red county. (sigh.) Sensenbrenner is our rep!

Is this worth a thread?

BTW, I'm a HUGE fan of Austin and San Antonio (from what I've heard).

15. I think that's the case in many of the blue states....
When you look at the overall state map, red dominates. But those deep blue conurbations drag them kicking and screaming into the light.

47. When WRAL/N&O Polling Indicated Edwards Would Win In NC, Reality Hit ...
North Carolina is no longer a Red State. That is saying a lot given the numerous military bases here, and the voting record for Bush in the last 2 election cycles.

34. I'm from the so-called red state of West Virginia
with two blue senators, two out of three blue congressmen, a blue governor, a blue state senate and a blue state house of delegates.

Red and blue are absolutes that don't necessarily exist in the real world. Well, except for Utah and Massachusetts.

37. Arizona is like freeper heaven.
Fake cowboys, alcoholics, and crazy gun owners are everywhere. Hardly anyone gives a shit about the poor here, and racism is just as alive and well as in the Deep South.

People have told me my hair is "too long". They were not kidding, and at least one of them was trying to pick a fight, responding to his own comment with "You probably think my hair's too short, don't you?"

I've never heard that complaint before, not even when I went to Utah.

LIAR/LOSERman, Repuke Governor...

Well we did get rid of Johnson and Simmons and almost got rid of Shays plus we have great Congress-persons (DeLauro, Larson, Murphy and Courtney) and a super-majority in the state legislator.

I can live with our repuke governor but LIARman is a continued embarrassment to this state's fine name. Every day I wonder if there are LIARman supporters who regret their vote. He puts me to shame. I'm sorry America.

It's basically a red state with two strong blue areas. If we make the wrong choice in 2008 PA goes red.
