1. I'm a big supporter of the Prez...
but that dress is just butt-ugly. Not quite as bad as Bjork's swan dress, but close...

6. The Swan dress worked
It was ugly, but it worked, because of who was wearing it. Bjork without bizarre clothing just isn't Bjork, it's like Moby with a mullet, or Courtney Love sober!

But this... Oooooh, man. it looks liek a tablecloth you would find at a DNC donor picnic.

13. The shape and design of the dress works very well for her.
You seem to be having a problem with the fabric pattern.

2. The words "fashion disaster" spring to mind, then take up residence there
I have a bunch of Obama t-shirts and suchlike, but this is beyond awful. Too bad, because the actual cut of the garment is quite nice, but the print...yech.

4. Agreed
And I dunno, I find it kinda creepy. I mean wearing a tshirt is one thing, but this is taking it to a whole 'nother level.

3. Very strange;
maybe OK to wear at a campaign fish-fry or quilting convention.

7. It got her plenty of attention, right? And wasn't that
the aim. I had never heard of Victoria Rowell before, but now I'll remember her as the actor in the Obama dress.

8. It looks like she stole some kids bedsheet. Ok, the kid would have to be a geek - like I was,
But there it is.

9. Come on. For her, the message was more important than shallow fashion concerns
Anyone check how she feels on single payer?

11. I don't care, I like it anyway
If only she'd found a way to make the top picture be on a super-thin flexible TV screen with a talking Barack Obama on it.

In the future, we'll all be wearing those.

How much will they pay me to wear a Monsanto commercial message shirt?

14. What a tribute. I applaud her for not caring whether
we or anyone else would like it. She is showing her support in the most visible way she could. Not many get the opportunity to go to the Emmy's. Now she will be remembered for something cool, rather than same old same old. LOVE IT!

17. The dress looks like its from (or inspired by) the Kenyan printed-fabrics
which featured Obama -many people in Kenya were wearing them for the inauguration telecasts. But, I'll be damned if I can find any images now.
