Attorneys from LeClairRyan’s labor and employment group will conduct a free morning seminar Oct. 15 in Florham Park to discuss new legal issues arising in the workplace. LeClairRyan, in Alexandria, Va., has offices in Newark and across the country.

The seminar will cover such topics as preparing separation and severance agreements for rounds of layoffs. Other matters up for discussion include addressing employee usage of social sites such as Facebook and Twitter, which may become hubs for spreading office gossip in addition to using up company time.

The half-day seminar will be held at the Park Avenue Club starting at 8:30 a.m., and will run to 12:30 p.m. In addition to LeClairRyan partners, shareholders and attorneys, the speakers will include Marlen Bodden, staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society of New York, and Judy Keenan, supervisory trial attorney with the New York District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Registration is required for the seminar. Those interested in attending can call Diane Frank at (973) 491-3313. The deadline is Oct. 12.
