Wow, I'm a television pundit!
Really.

I made my debut as a Democratic talking head on "Close Up, a long-running Sunday morning political talk show on WMUR-TV, an ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH. It's a local version of the Sunday morning fare on the networks.

1. Wow, keep up the good work. However, I think you were wrong on the first point
The rebuke by Congress was appropriate. It turns out it wasn't a censure. There are 4 levels of reprimand in the house, and this was the lightest and it was appropriate. Yes, Wilson apologized to the President, but he needed to apologize to the House. I fully support Hodes, but I disagree with him on this vote.

6. Looks sharp!
They went with a somewhat different one for the bumper stickers; similar typeface, but red and blue background. Just pt one on the car last week!

8. Very Cool! You did a great job!
The ACORN answer was the only issue - it's too bad you were not the 2nd asked.

Lots of good info on DU regarding the ACORN issue.

Are you thinking about running for office?

If not, perhaps you should.

10. grrrrrrrrrr
Sore spot there...

I was just defeated in my bid for re-election to the Manchester Board of Aldermen. I got squeezed in a low turnout primary. I had a right-winger on one side (who was being funded by a millionaire mayoral candidate) and a Dem with ties to the city employee unions. It made it very difficult for a "Tsongas Democrat" (fiscal conservative, environmentalist, socially tolerant, etc) to thread the needle. My base of independents, young professionals, and reform-minded, non-"machine" Dems don't show up in primaries.

I'll be back, though, in 2010 or 2011.

I like that clock idea. Maybe they can take that thing over to CNN and MSNBC.
