Evolution Denier Mike Huckabee Wins Republican "Values Voter" Straw Poll
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/eye-on-2012/huckabee-wins-values-voter-str.html

By Chris Cillizza | September 19, 2009; 9:36 PM ET

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee cruised to a victory in a (very) early 2012 straw poll today at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, DC.

Huckabee received 28 percent of the vote while former Govs. Mitt Romney (Mass.) and Sarah Palin (Alaska) as well as Gov. Tim Pawlenty (Minn.) received roughly 12 percent of the vote. Indiana Rep. Mike Pence took 11 percent.

Tom Tancredo, Sam Brownback, and Mike Huckabee do NOT believe in evolution. Despicable.

John McCain does believe in evolution, though, but hardly great considering other things.

2. I wish they would pick Huckabee or Palin,
but I'm pretty sure it's going to be Romney.

3. That wouldn't be a bad thing either. The base hates him.

5. The money people like him, though.
And I think the base would get behind him in order to get the 'Great Black Satan' out of office.

4. The Huckster is the most dangerous of the pack
He has a warm likeable manner to him that hides his right wing idealouge hate.

6. The term "Values voters" irks me
Are the media collectively saying that only repubs have values? Can't progressive thinking people have values too? Lots of Democrats and other progressives have "values". We try and raise our kids to live by the golden rule, to maybe help out around the community, to treat people with respect, and so on. Not only do we raise our kids to be like that, we do it as well. So why don't they ask us who are Democrats and so called progressives about who we'd like as President? Are they scared of the truth of the majority? Methinks they are.
