Suspect to cops: I killed cat because it bugged me

BY CHRISTINA HALL
FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER

The man accused of breaking into a Roseville home and killing the house cat by tossing it into a washing machine and turning it on has been captured.

Ty-Shawn Eric Bost, 19, of Highland Park was tracked to a Highland Park apartment complex and arrested without incident around 6 p.m., said Roseville police.

After being taken to the Roseville Police Department, "he later confessed to his involvement in this heinous crime, stating he killed the cat because 'it was bothering me.'," Police Chief James Berlin said in a statement.

Ross said she is grateful for the gracious acts of others since news of the crime broke, including calls from animal rescue groups and others offering her a free kitten, food and litter. She said she may go out next week to look at the kittens and “see what happens,” though she has said that no cat will replace Ruby, which she got before her 50th birthday.

----------------------------------

Alas, we live in a society that worships violence, leading to outrages like this.

My sympathy to this poor lady. Another cat cannot replace Ruby, but hopefully it will find a fresh place in her heart.

2. I highly doubt that's why he did it.
Took a couple items and went out of his way to remove laundry and put the cat in? His intent is much more suspicious if you ask me.

19 years? I hope he gets sentenced to every single one of them, fucking douchebag.

3. I will never understand what makes someone like this tick..... What a senseless thing...
to do..... The big question is why? As an animal lover and specifically a cat lover, this just devastates me....

4. A budding serial killer?
Seriously, he breaks into peoples' houses, tortures and kills their pets for fun -- can humans be far behind?

5. Time For A Trip To The Commercial Laundry
bet he does well in a rapid spin cycle. Seriously, at the very least he needs to be castrated before he reproduces. He makes me support the death penalty in certain cases (not really, but he sure triggers a very bad feeling).

6. I share your feelings of revulsion, which...
...is why we SHOULD NOT have a death penalty.

Many are the times I see and hear stories of the most cruel acts that I want to take a cutting torch to the perps. And I realize that, even it 99% are guilty, even 99.999%, that some are innocent. And you can let someone out of prison, but you cannot "un-execute" someone.

8. No Disagreement Here
A society cannot promote peace while practicing violence.
