Edited on Sat Apr-14-07 08:49 PM by QuestionAll
i mean, there's no other way to interpret this holy message from God Himself...

imus MUST be returned to the airwaves IMMEDIATELY!

THE Lord God of ALL has spoken people!! we need to listen, and do His holy bidding.

16. And if there is heaven and if it has a nice club, my mom will be waiting
for Don Ho to take the stage.

He epitomized a lovely part of a lovely culture for a lot of folks here on the mainland.

15. I Danced with Ho!
In 1964 I was in Hawaii with a group of travel agents from the Pacific Northwest, there to learn the "business." Of course we went to see Don Ho's show.

It was his habit to pick a man and woman from the audience and have them dance together on stage. I was the unfortunate female, but I think I had had a few icky sweet drinks with paper umbrellas in them to not feel the pain too much.

19. Don Ho has just gone on
to that Big Luau in the Sky! And, he is the featured entertainer with exotic hula dancers and Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. The feast is poi, kalua pig, poke, lomi salmon, opihi, Monoa lettuce, Sweet Maui Onion, purple sweet potatoes, and cerveza! :toast:

20. There was a time when they couldn't shoot a television show in Hawaii
without Don Ho making an appearance. I never got to see him but we did hear a singer at a luau in Honolulu who kept telling us what a good friend he was of Don Ho. :)

RIP, Mr. Ho.

27. I was in the Hawaiian BBQ place two nights ago when "Tiny Bubbles "
came on the loop tape. Miserable storm outside, the place was busy as hell, lots of slightly cranky people after a hard day's work.

When it came on, everyone seemed to just take a collective breath and the air got just a bit lighter. Who knew at the time that Mr. Ho was crooning his last bars?

Mahalo and RIP, Don.
