Chickenshit
This is starting to get ridiculous. Really. The ugliest voices of the reactionary right are now writing the daily American political script. Van Jones. ACORN. Beck. What the hell is going on around here? Who in the hell is in charge? Really?

Message to the President and the leaders of the Democratic Party: Step the fuck up! The time is now. HIT. THEM. BACK. Shut this crap down. We won. They lost. Please take the fucking wheel already. Democratic Senators falling all over themselves to cut ACORN funding on a dime for Glen Beck while Halliburton and Blackwater continue to suck at the Federal teat.

It's just embarrassing.

8. In my own lifetime,
the U.S. on a socio-political has changed more in the last 40 years than it did in the previous 170 years. We do move forward, in fits and starts, but we do move forward. You remind me of that old cartoon character, Hardyharhar.

5. At the very least
they could not capitulate on all this crap. The result is a public narrative in which the right appears to be winning victories. Why give them that? They haven't earned it.

10. So Dems should have irrational temper tantrums to match the right?
I just want competence.

11. No, they should just not let
the other side's irrational temper tantrums guide their behavior. Right now our leadership seems to be looking to Glan Beck for signals about what actions to take on a day to day basis. I would suggest that maybe they look elsewhere.

12. I listened to the radio for La today and on a regular am channel..no sirius or fm needed...
they are pushing the people in these rural countries hard..and I mean hard by definitely willing them to act out in violent ways by trying to scare the bejeesus out of them and by listening to the callers calling in, its working..quite a few hinted that they were armed and ready and I know for a fact many are armed..armed to the teeth and have no clue that their minds are being toyed with..the same minds that are having a very difficult time dealing with the fact that we have a black president..I don't care what anyone else thinks..that alone is what is allowing those attempting mind games with them to win..and those playing them no full well they are winning...

madness...pure madness and evil those from the wrong side of the aisle are...

16. Can another organization pick up where ACORN left off,
like MoveOn or something?

17. Sure, although MoveOn is a different
kind of animal than ACORN. But many other groups and individuals do the kind of work ACORN does. And of course we can all step up and get active organizing in low income, minority and other underrepresented communities. This kind of work will continue. And of course ACORN will still be a big part of it. All the ACORN flap reminds us is that in our current political climate anyone too successful at organizing the disenfranchised will be ruthlessly targeted for destruction.
