Teabaggers And The Financial/Investment Industry.....
Surely many of these 'teabaggers' that marched over the weekend in D.C. where victims of the financial crash. I would assume that many of them lost a considerable portion of their retirement monies. Today the President gave a speech that says he will work to impose regulation on this industry to prevent anything like this recent crash and bailouts to ever happen again and surely the American people will not be responsible for bailing them out if it should happen again.

The question is - will the 'teabaggers' get behind the President on this issue? Or will they follow like lemmings what the RW spin-doctors tell them to follow? Will they again go against themselves on this issue and side with the banking and financial giants?

It seems like if there was ever an issue that would garner bipartisan support it would be this one of regulation of this industry.

If they don't support the regulation - what in heaven's name will be their position on this issue?

1. They're not going to get behind the President
on anything. He's the antichrist, don't you know? Besides, the teabaggers are libertarians. They aren't in favor of regulation, they believe the market should determine whether these companies survive or not and if they fail and the economy falls to pieces, then that's just the price of doing business. The almighty market will resurrect itself and a new cycle will begin.

2. Dude these people are still waiting for the golden shower Reagan promised them they were entitled to
sadly they still haven't figured out that they are already getting pissed on by the republicon masters just as Reagan intended. For some odd reason they miss read Reagans intent, they thought Reagan said they were going to get vast riches by kneeling down and opening their mouths. They still believe the lie..........the rich get richer and will trickle money down on their heads, regulations just mean it will take longer for the golden stream to reach them.

3. Don't you know it's all the Democrats' fault?
Everything was perfectly fine until the Democrats got into Congress and screwed everything up... they don't understand what regulation is, or how our government works... we can't make them understand.

5. To successfully teabag
one must be capable of suspending the normal perception of reality.

Cause is unrelated to effect. Obama is not the President because he was popularly elected.

And when things get really bizarre, there's always God's will to fall back on.

6. The baggers were upset over the bailouts, too
I seem to recall that the votes against them at the tail end of the Bush administration were mostly from the GOP. While they won't give President Obama any credit for any laws that he might get passed that limit Wall Street's ability to take us so very close to the edge again, they won't hold teabag parties to oppose that legislation.

The real question is, have the bankers and brokers paid enough of their ill-gotten bonuses to buy enough of Congress to keep reforms from being passed?

7. Sure they will, most of them

Most would probably support breaking these uber banks up.

I got a call from my younger brother yesterday, he's one of em it turns out. He wanted to go to DC but didn't want to take his time off for it.

I found out today one of my employees attended a teabagger protest here in town this weekend, posted pics to facebook. I wasn't aware there were local versions of the protest around the country.

I've talked to both of them about these issues, both of them want regulation, if not breakup of the companies.

8. Meanwhile, back in reality, we all understand that they wouldn't get behind Obama...
if he told them that grass was green.
