Calling all MASS. DUers!-time to contact your state legislators to pass bill allowing the Governor
Edited on Sun Sep-13-09 07:44 AM by zippy890
to appoint an interim Senator. This is the time to put some pressure on them to that we can get another LIBERAL vote in the U.S.Senate.

I'll be contacting my state Rep and senator.

funny story, last time I e-mailed state Rep. Brad Hill (Republican) was when Mass. was voting on the constitutional amendment against gay marriage to be put on ballot (which they refused to do good on them).
Well it was a Saturday morning I e-mailed Rep. Hill. within an hour he pulled up to my house in a huge SUV-parked it half in the driveway, half in the street. He come to the door, asks to come in and talk about the e-mail I sent him.

So I let him in and he proceeds to whine for about 45 minutes how he can't sleep because people have the right to have this amendment put on the ballot blah blah. the guy would not leave. but I didn't hear most of what he was saying because I was mesmerized by the the way he LOOKED.

He had the weirdest eyebrows I ever saw - they looked like fake eyebrows but the weirdest thing was the raw red skin around them. He had just come from having his eyebrows waxed and wow did he look strange! :) I couldn't take my eyes off his freshly waxed face. That and the fancy white jogging suit.

Jayzuz I thought he'd never leave.

Mass state Rep. Brad Hill(R) in between eyebrow waxings and randomly visiting constituents to whine about his insomnia

anyway he ended up voting against putting the amendment on the ballot. yay. so I'm going to contact him again- this time on a weekday. hopefully no unannounced visits from him after he's been to the beauty salon. Course maybe that would be better than before he's been waxed.
:scared:

CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATORS TO ALLOW GOV.PATRICK APPOINT INTERIM SENATOR!

2. Brad Hill is odd. So are most of the House Republicans.
You must live in one of the nice North Shore towns he represents. :-) I always get him mixed up with Brad Jones, another Repub.

4. yes the House Republicans are odd - and whiny!

they are always complaining of course, about everything the democrats are doing, but in such a whiny crybaby way its hard to take them seriously.

yes, I live in probably the most republican part of the state- the North Shore. Though I grew up in the Berkshires- outside of Pittsfield. and spent a lot of my life in the Pioneer Valley, Amherst and Northampton after going to UMASS. I love Massachusetts and don't ever want to live anywhere else.

5. I never want to leave either-despite the winter.
As long as I can escape somewhere warm in the doldrums of February, I'm fine. :-) Mass is a beautiful state and you've lived in its most beautiful corners-the Pioneer Valley and Cape Ann.

3. Does it really matter?
I mean if we are unwilling to accomplish the Democratic agenda for change that people voted for with 60 votes, does 59 really make a difference?
