1. Damn
I was guessing the game show would be "is there anyone that is a bigger fucking conservative, egotistical, prick than Tucker Carlson?" Of course, that title's a little cumbersome.

2. Aside from the fact that it should be "Whom Do You Trust?"...
...I think the only reason he's been given this is that his name is so close to "Carson" that the powers that be got confused.

3. (lol!) GMTA! I've been saying that even before I was in the audience way back when Johnny Carson ..
... was the host of "Who(m) Do You Trust" in the Little Theater ... before he hosted the Tonight Show.

4. Tucker A-1 Used Cars
T. Carlson Haberdasher. "Clothes to make the prissy little man." Maybe once he's run through his career path he is finally, just a man about town passing out his calling card:
Tucker Carlson
feckless cakeater

9. Tucker Carlson eats cak?
This would explain why he gets this cak-eating grin whenever he feels he's scored some debating point or other, and also why he's so full of cak.

12. I'm not alerting on this but I have to ask, "Do you have a problem with men who have sex with men?"
Edited on Sat Apr-14-07 01:02 PM by 94114_San_Francisco
I'm not getting the humor of your post. What I am seeing is a reference to ram something up Tucker's ass until he says "WHEN". That's funny?

And what the hell does 4. The Dating Game Tucker bends over and the first guy who wants to go out with him... mean?

As a gay man, I've been accused of not having a sense of humor. Can someone explain to me why PCIntern's post is funny? From my perspective it's just more evidence that it's ok to ridicule gay/bi men. Are we making Tucker more loathsome with these references to same gender sex? Let's pathologize a straight guy by insinuating he's gay or bi?

I don't get it. Must be a free-speech issue.

edit: changed "I" to "I've"

16. Perhaps it is, perhaps it isn't...
Edited on Sat Apr-14-07 12:54 PM by PCIntern
but since, not if, I offended you, I profoundly apologize. It was not meant to insult gay men, it was meant to insult the pseudo-tough guy image which Tucker has been trying to present of late. I am appalled at the manner in whcih he presents himself with that fake-Yalie attitude of his when it is obvious that he's got many issues with his own being and I believe that he's fair game. He is arrogant to a fault but he is not in any physical position to back up his arrogance in a physical manner. Anyone who shows up for a dance competition sitting in a chair is fair game as far as I'm concerned. Anyone who has his lawyer call up a video store and threaten them with a lawsuit is also fair game.

That being said, I am sorry and will take down my post if possible.

On edit: Done...

17. Thank you.
I find Carlson appalling, too (for reasons similar to yours).

My concern is if we want to lampoon a "pseudo-tough guy", why resort to a gay angle? After all, there are millions of gay and bi men who really are 'tough guys'. This assumption that gay/bi men are all mincing fairies is ridiculous.

I think I'll just leave it at that. Again, thanks for responding and taking the opportunity to 'check-in'. I appreciate that very much.

20. You're quite welcome...
I have a variety of very strong opinions as to what is going on in D.C. and what common threads link these hypocrites. I find many of these media types to be syncophants in many different ways, and suffice it to say that there's lots going on. I should know...I was raised in New Hope, PA in a very progressive family which could not abide the pure hypocrisy of the RW, even back in the 50's and 60's when Conservatives were, at least in the North, a whole different kettle of fish than they are now.

Cheers.

7. well
it's a job that finally matches his talents.

The sad part, is he'll probably make more hosting one season of a network game show than he's made in his whole career on cable.

10. I figured the title would be maybe, "Are you smarter than a neocon?"
Or would that be way too easy?

14. Is a Fox sitcom next if this doesn't pan out?
First, a stint on "Dancing with the Stars", then a game show. I'm wondering if that Fox sitcom will be far behind.

15. Who wants to be a corporate welfare millionaire?
White-knuckle competition as contestants see who can make the most outrageous statements against all the evidence while trying to grab as much corporate cash as they can while in their hermetically sealed hyperbaric chambers. Losers go to the Imus Bin. Winners get the coveted Lomborg Laurel.
