The squeeky wheel gets the grease. I think we need to start squeeking LOUDLY.
Instead of just sitting in our armchairs, eating popcorn.

Seems like all the stupid people are making all the noise
and all the intelligent people are being as quiet as a church mouse.

SIGH

(wake me up when it's all over)

1. there were a bunch of people cheering in Minnesota today.
Okay, that was technically yesterday, but to me it is still today until I goto bed for the night and sleep a bit.

I think we have been making some noise, although not as favorably covered by the media. I went to two townhalls and wrote a letter to the editor, but like my letter said, there is nothing that can be said or done in my district to get the three Republicans to support any health care reform.

2. The media can't count.
When 200 teabaggers show up, there are thousands.

When tens of thousands of anti-war protesters show up, there are a few thousand.

3. I wondered about that this summer when the RW bully mobs were packing the town hall meetings.
Even in Democratic districts. I wondered, "Where are all the Democrats, the ones who support healthcare reform?" The squeaky wheels were getting all of the attention then.

4. We should be making noise, and many of us are trying
but there are many others who feel that making noise is beneath them and they are far more interested in demanding a silent, faith based trust than they are in getting results. They seek displays of faith, not demonstrations of protest. They like to say 'chill' and 'chilax' and speak in terms of games and competitions, when lives are on the line, they shout 'chess'.
I wonder each time how often Dr King or Bobby Kennedy told people to 'chill' and let them deal with the war, civil rights, and all of that? "You guys just chill, Im going to DC to march for equality and jobs, but you should just relax here at home, I got this march thing wired."
