11. There you go then.
Think of how many college football games were played today and the total number in attendance. That march on Washington didn't deserve the press it got.

And by the way, my Nittany Lions are gonna kick Wolverine butt in the Big House. ;-)

12. Don't count on it.
My boys are back! They're looking really good and will not have a season like last year.

On the bright side for both of us, though, OSU is 1-1, thanks to USC!

13. Yeah, you had a good win today.
And it is good OSU lost, although I wanted USC to lose too, lol. :hi:

3. That was my guess,
just looking at the photos and the ground-level videos, and one time-lapse view at a traffic light on 14th Street.

And I was being generous at 30,000.

One clown here, who claimed to have been there (sure he was) swore up and down that there were at least 1.5 MILLION, but he was pretty sure there weren't 2 MILLION!

Doofus.

As I've posted elsewhere, it was just another Saturday in DC - no roads into the city were closed, no Smithsonians closed, no inordinate PortaPotties dragged out, and no extravagant crowd control measures required. Tourists continued their visits, people went downtown for lunch, everyone went about their regular Saturday business, and life was normal.

In short, no big deal.............................................

7. It's more like 20K
from my own personal estimates (proven very reliable over the years) by examining both overhead photos and up close photos of the same event (establishes both the area and the density).

Could be 25K because my "overhead" was shot from the steps of the Capitol and I had to guess a bit on the extremities of the crowd.

50K would be out of the question.

Authorities in the District do not give official crowd estimates, but Saturday's throng appeared to number in the many tens of thousands.

I can't find the 30K number.

Anybody?

15. I heard a South American tourist accidentally got caught up in the crowd...
so estimates are at 1 brazillion, 25,000. I'm sorry. Someone linked to a Hasselhoff video and I unwittingly clicked on it. It fucked me up in the head. Please don't do that, people.
