i feel beaten down.

there's going to be a rally FOR health care reform in DC tomorrow. i rented a car and i'm going to drive from raleigh to DC to go to it. but i have to search like crazy just to find out about it. i post here asking if anyone else is going, apparently not.

i may not go. why bother. it seems obvious that even if - and that's a big if - we had double or triple the numbers that demonstrated today, the media wouldn't be there, the story wouldn't be reported. it's like standing in the water and trying to make the waves stop. i am feeling very discouraged right now. really, very discouraged.

I've lost count of the number of anti-war rallies I've attended that have barely been mentioned by the M$M. I'm not quite sure why that matters, but somehow it further validates the cause when it's noticed.

Don't be discouraged by DU's lack of interest. I got zero response when I mentioned a rally a while back. Evidently, griping with a keyboard is so much easier. I'd go, but I'm on the other side of the country. Maybe MoveOn has some information?

I, for one, admire each and every person who attends. Maybe our numbers won't match what happened today, but we need to be heard and we need our Congress and President to know that we care.

9. WHY do these people force their children to hate like they do? It disgusts me.

Its one thing to have your own political views but to have a 6,7,8 year old carrying a sign around they don't understand is horrible.
My 5 year old knows who Obama is but I don't get into politics with her, she is too young and can make up her own mind about what she thinks about politics some day. Utterly disgusting parenting on display.
