That would be poetic justice.

4. My thought, exactly, yurbud!
Hell, if they can read my emails to my mother about my daughter's wedding, surely they can find the "missing" emails from the White House and RNC!

6. It Is Clear. WH People Are Not Bright. ...
They seem to think they can get away with this. The only way they will be able to stop this information from getting out is to hold onto power. Perhaps shrub and Co. believe they have the 'math' to prevent passing power to their successors. Regardless, the emails are not lost. The delay of releasing them will only delay day of reckoning. This is just another log on the fire.

There is a difference between READING and STORING. NSA would only store the ones they want to review more, the other probably are purged on a daily/weekly schedule.

9. I bet someone in the bowls of that organization would have the sense to store those for a rainy day

14. Actually, no. As I understand it, the system sifts through our e-mail in real time...
I think it's sort of obvious that they would need tons of storage to keep them.

16. and you think they don't have it? Archive.org stores most webpages including previous versions
and that's not a government deal. Why wouldn't the NSA buy enough storage?

and for such an important matter of national security as this, I'll bet they'll help out. They've just been waiting for an opportunity like this. Next fairy tale?
