Jobs #1 in importance !
I believe health to be a very important subject that must
be addressed and som kind of health care for all Americians
should be automatic a right for both moral and compassionate
reasons ! With that said I really want to know how long B/4
jobs get moved up to a #1 priority , my family consisting of
my wife and two children are barley hanging onto the condo we
have been renting for 12 years now . At 52 years old it seems
filling out job applications is just a waste of time ! In the
past I've been a sales rep for a local jewelry store , a slip
cover fitter for furniture and I now work only two days a week
at a card room empting the metal boxes full of casino chips .
I literly see thousands of dollares being taking in by this
bis. and yet they do not give any benifits to workers that do
not work more then 24 hours . I worked on labor day and did
not recieve any extra pay for working on a holiday. One of my
co=workers said it best . We have a thanksless job ,work like
dogs for only ten doaares an hour. I was making that in the
seventies ,my paycheck which I recieve every two weeks is so
small I can only laugh or I will cry . Its hard going from a
50K+ a year job to earning this kind of wage. To make things
even worst I must commute 30 + miles to this job ,between the
cost of gas and the wear and tear on my car ,which already has
high miles. Iam living a life of waiting for my only means of
transpertation breaking down and not being able to afford any
repairs ! Well thats my sad story, and my biggest fear is the
friction this is causing my marriage and losing my family that
means everthing to me. Sorry for the long winde rant . We need
decent paying jobs NOW !
               Thank You, NikRik

1. So sorry.
My husband was downsized 7 years ago, an MBA, and still no job. He had to take a job much like yours. It hurts everyone, physically, mentally, emotionally.

Without jobs... I don't know how people will survive.

Take care.
