Poll question: Pick Your President
Just as a straw poll, if a general election were called tommorrow (perhaps Cheney shot Chimpy in the face) and, assuming we would all vote for a Democrat, which of these are you most likely to vote for as President (poll for VP to follow once the President has been decided):

3. These polls are just for fun.
It takes two seconds to vote and see the results. Hardly anything to worry about.

2. LOL - you put Zell Miller on the list?
JSYK, if Cheney shot Chimpy in the fact, then Cheney would be indicted and Bush would be dead; Pelosi would become president.

9. Not necessarily
The last gunshot wound Cheney inflicted on a person's face wasn't fatal, and he wasn't indicted for that... I don't want Bush dead, but wouldn't mind having him indicted with Cheney. As for President Pelosi...well, that does have a nice ring to it! ;)

12. How often are shots to the face NOT fatal?
I think Cheney's luck would be gone with the second one.

President Pelosi has a beautiful ring! :)

5. Wes Clark, if we can't get Brian Schweitzer
The Republicans aren't going to run a senator--they know senators don't win. The last time they ran a senator, he got stomped and became a spokesmodel for boner pills.

Al Gore would have made a good president, and he was already elected once...but you know what Joe Average is going to think when he sees Gore's name on the ballot? "Didn't that guy lose already?" Same deal with Kerry and Edwards.

On that list, the only person who's got a chance in hell of winning is Wes Clark.

10. I like the Stray Cats, but as a band
Brian Schweitzer's the Montana governor who refers to Bush's oil buddies as "sheiks and dictators and rats and crooks."

This one didn't make DU and I don't know how it didn't: In May, during the silly season we call Graduation, Thomas Benya, a high school senior from Maryland who is a Native American, was denied his high school diploma because he wore a bolo tie to graduation. (The thing around Governor Schweitzer's neck in this photo is a bolo tie.)

Governor Schweitzer sent Mr. Benya a Montana bolo tie and a personal letter.
