N.J. governor might not have had seat belt on

CAMDEN, N.J. - In critical condition but expected to recover, New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine apparently was not wearing a seatbelt when the car he was in crashed Thursday, despite a state law requiring it for front-seat passengers, a spokesman said Friday.

2. Heard this earlier today

It's a shame some people have to learn the hard way. Back in 87 I had a customer that share my interest in motorsports and we talked about the races we went to. One day I stop in and he's not there. He had been run off the road to avoid hitting a truck. He spent almost a year in traction and his wife broke a finger. You don't have to guess who had their seat belt on. I haven't more than a block without a seat belt since.

I'm sure Mr.Corzine will be fine, but it won't be much fun.
