Pushing "education" IS pushing the liberal agenda...
The probability of a person being liberal, politically, increases greatly if he or she experiences any level of higher education.

Whether or not Obama is actually attempting to do so, he is pushing a liberal agenda when he tells kids to stay in school.

Conservatives don't want an educated population. They know that an increase in higher level education participation means that they lose power.

The Conservative base thrives on ignorance. The Liberal base is fueled by enlightenment.

It's really no surprise that the right-wing talking heads are attacking Obama over a seemingly innocent speech. They know just how much is at stake. Let them squirm.

We should all be proud of Obama for furthering the liberal, enlightened agenda.

6. Of course that's why the Bushies tried to gut public education with No Child Left Unblind. And by
funneling public school funds into charter schools that were exempt from standards testing.

8. "tried" to? you'll notice inclb hasn't been repealed, & $$ to charters is increasing, not
decreasing.

9. Yes, and I'm wondering if Obama listened to the arguments against those. It really disappointed me
to see him talking up charter schools.

12. Yeah, that was a problem for me at the time. Not surprised, just disappointed that he was won
over by this anti-public-education scheme.
