"Public Option"
Our President actually spoke those words today in a very positive light. I just emailed him to let him know how much his advocating for the public option meant to me (hint, hint).

1. I hope this isnt a case of good cop/bad cop
Meaning that Obama knows he can push for a PO now while expecting it to be negotiated away in the Congressional Reconciliation.

From a party perspective that could be how his advisors have determined he can dump it while retaining support from the base.

2. I'm sure that Obama wants to have a public option, but if the Congressional votes are not there
compromise will come up. The Dem's. will bend in order to get a bill passed. We need to face this reality.
