Would You Pay to Convert Your Car to All-Electric?

Last night we watched "Who Killed the Electric Car." They said you can get your car converted to all-electric, some specialists will do it for you. However it is between $17K and $30K depending on the battery technology.

Of course all-electric is the way to go. So would you pay to have your gas vehicle converted?

1. I drive such a low number of miles yearly it wouldn't make sense

2. been looking into things for my pt cruiser...

alterations and adjustments, not yanking the whole power train. have not got responses from contacts yet.

there is a trial in new york city using totally electric cruisers as taxis, not sure how it is going, but I think the cost of
the things are way out there like $50K or more. yuck.

the cruiser is a perfect candidate for hybrid, far as I can see.
