Ignorant, Racist Old Bastards

I'm in my 60's and I would like to send a message to those of my generation who are showing up at town halls and acting like the assholes they are (you know..the ignorant, racist, greedy old lunatics who profess to love their children and grandchildren but would slit their throats to save their useless asses)! Here's something they should be very, very, really afraid of:

If the Repukes (and the insurance companies that own them) succeed in killing healthcare reform (either by no bill or by eliminating the public option), guess what they are going to go after next, you stupid pigs??? MEDICARE...here's why and how:

Why?--because they have been after it from the get go (want the insurance companies to take over and get the last gold out of your teeth before they lower you into the grave)! How?---easy. They have the framework laid by all the screaming about "socialism". All they have to do is plug "Medicare" into the ads, scream about how it also is socialized medicine, and BINGO, you're Medicare is gone. Oh..and no one will listen when you scream that it's not fair. You will have shot your useless butts off by being such stupid, greedy pigs.

1. If Medicare is eradicated, I predict it will be in stages.

Their premise will be it's bankrupt, not enough money to fund the program, esp. with aging baby boomers and their legions. So it will likely be cut back before being claimed it's just unsustainable. And Congress won't raise taxes to fund it.

2. Why wait?

What you describe would take stages and they would be fought at every level and never achieve their goal. BUT, if they can do an hysterical number on this ignorant society like they have done with the "socialism" screed regarding healthcare reform (which backed Obama right into the corner where they want him), they can very quickly stick Medicare into the back pockets of the insurance companies, too. It's going to be fun watching the old assholes I have described trying to justify that some "socialism" is better than others. In a word, they have dug their own grave.

4. Because of the neocons' lesson from attempting to privatize Social Security.

Popular outrage wholesale made them pull back and abandon the project.

They'll do it slowly so it looks inevitable. Using rhetoric like "socialism" will be cognitive dissonance when old folks can't afford to go to the doctor, pay for necessary tests, pay for their drugs, and go to the hospital.

3. Medicare and then the old "privatize Social Security" mantra

It's coming. It's all they have. The GOP had nothing to be for - so they have to be against everything. Where are the strong Democratic voices?
