Could we stage a country wide sick in?

Maybe I am just frustrated talking to some right wing loonies and arguing with them from late last night into today. Maybe I am just sick of all of these people feeling they have theirs so they don't care about anyone else.

I am from Canada and strongly believe in health care for everyone. (maybe because I also do not have health care except back home in Canada?) If our congress critters decide there should be no public option, could we not stage a sick in where everyone out there, without insurance or money, went to the ER to get treated? I know there has been a lot of things I have ignored due to having no insurance. If we kept the hospitals clogged for a week then maybe they would realize how bad everything is and that they are paying for our visits anyway.

Before you go off on me, this is more of a catharsis than anything else. I believe in the motto 'do no harm'. If we did this then people who are urgently sick may be put at risk and I want to protect my fellow citizens, not put them in any danger. I am speaking from frustration and anger. I wish we could do something like this to make a point. Too bad we can not all show up at the office of our reps and ask for appointments to be seen for our sicknesses since we can not afford health insurance. Would they even care? What has happened to our country. I am so sad.

1. Considering I already had to take one unpaid sick day this week

and that I get paid by the hour, I don't really think I can afford that idea.

I don't get paid sick days or paid vacation.

what do you do when your boss agrees with you? Close the business?
