THANK YOU to the Vintage DUers who have managed to hang in here.
I stayed away for a LONG time, for the reasons that need not be
said- you all know what I am talking about.

I've started visiting again, posting and what not, and I
can't tell you what you mean to me, those of you who are still here,
fighting the good fight.

Being a "vintage" DUer, I remember when being a flaming leftist was being part of a proud DU fellowship. Now, not so much.

I haven't thought about John Horne in ages -- couldn't even remember his name until you just brought it up. I've sometimes found myself trying to think of it -- like, who was that British guy that BHN and I used to lust after? -- but I couldn't think of his name anymore. Comes with getting so fucking old, I guess. I'll be 60 in November. :P

I'm just absolutely delighted to see you here again! Even though I'm pretty much off politics these days, I still like to post an observation now and again.
