Obama Sculpture Kicked Out of Las Vegas Bank

That was until an unsuspecting phone call came from the management company of a building downtown. That's where Waithe has a sculpture of President Barack Obama on display. They want him to remove the piece.

The sculpture has been up for two months, according to Waithe, and is only some of the artwork on display in the foyer of the building. Other pieces include the president and the first family on inauguration day.

But Waithe says only the president's sculpture appears to be the issue. "It's really strange. How could a sculpture upset somebody so bad," he said.

The building's management company declined comment, but did confirm they've received at least two complaints about the art. They wouldn't say if it was by customers or workers in the building. "This is a private building. I don't want my pictures or my sculptor to offend anybody," he said.

I'm originally from Hawai'i, and have many Hawai'ian friends here before me...

After all - we're considered the "ninth island" - so maybe my situation is different - but altho it's totally different - give it time - there are a LOT of WONDERFUL people here - and only a FEW - VERY FEW assholes who seem to get all the attention for their IDIOCY.

Don't get me wrong - there is PLENTY of RACISM, etc. here, as my black and hispanic - and Hawai'ian friends who are mistaken for black or hispanic by racists idiots - but fortunately they seem few and far between.

Okay, who were these people and exactly what was their complaint. Gee could it possibly that the building owner is a Republican and just doesn't like Obama and this his way of getting in a little jab at the President. Odds are nobody complained (changing something because a couple of tight-asses complained is stupid to begin with) they are just using that as a cover. They idea that 'I don't want anybody to upset' is ridiculous hell you have people that would be upset because the sun came up today. You can't please everybody and letting a minuscule minority influence what you do is just ridiculous.

Even if the pikes sabotage his presidency and he isn't seen as a succesful one atleast he is one of the most if not the most historic. Blatant racism is what most of his opposition is based on.

It's always Intercontinental. They don't like that it's named after Bush, any Bush.

I haven't heard any complaints about the statue. I don't think I've seen it, to be honest (I go there via the E entrance, I assume that this is on the S entrance). If I mentioned it, I'm sure the people I know would say they'd like it removed.
