Conservative Heretic Filth

His plan will FORCE nurses to assist in abortions.

His plan will set up DEATH PANELS. The dirty secret that Canadians, Japanese and western European with socialized medicine have is once you turn 59 they will then decide whether or not they want to cut you off from health care. This will lead to people DYING. Untold numbers of DEATH.

How can we support FORCED abortions and death panels as Christians?
Feathered Serpent: When the rich prosper, EVERYONE prospers. For example, Bill Gates has given more to charity than anyone else.
Edit: If this plan was canceled then this is a victory for America and for freedom of choice.

You can’t. Just like a Jew can’t eat free ham.

Cause Christ always charged for his miracles didn’t he.

Like in that proverb were Jesus sends away the leper cause he didn’t have the right insurance.

Bullshit. When the rich prosper the rich prosper! That’s why they are rich! They can give to charities all they like but they can still give more.

World financial crisis anyone?

Jeff S, This has nothing to do with abortion, Its there get over it.

There are more things wrong in the world then lives that will never be and from what i am told the aborted babies go to heaven anyway.

How can a Christian lie about Health care?

Oh, wait, you lie, and then ask Jesus to forgive you for it. Must be nice, not being expected to even try truthfulness.

Ah! The usual uncaring bigoted crap. What has abortion to do with universal health care? You are simply throwing red herrings around. And what would Jesus do?

Wow you must work for a Drug Company or something to believe that. Stop listening to Sean Hannity and read the facts on something rather than repeating what Limbaugh/O’Reilly/Hannity have to say about it.

Hey Feathered Serpent - Jesus didn’t charge to heal people and He didn’t raise everyones taxes or force His healings on everyone whether they wanted them or not. He also didn’t murder innocent babies if there was a shadow on their ultrasound. I also missed the verses about Jesus withholding miracles do to a persons age or physical fitness.

That argument is beyond absurd.

ha! I’m a christian and i fully support it. what’s so bad about giving everyone heath care, especially those who really need it and can’t afford it. christians don’t have everything right, you know. stop trying to control everyone else, and stick to controlling your own life. people will get abortions either way. having a nurse do it is better than someone hurting htemselves to get the job done themself (i.e. throwing themselves down the stairs). besides, if you’re against abortion and woman’s choice, go protest an abortion clinic or something.

I think you are right in what you are saying. I may support some of his plan, but not all of his plan. The things you pint out are some of the areas that I don’t support.

//His plan will FORCE nurses to assist in abortions. //
-abortions which will happen anyway

//His plan will set up DEATH PANELS.//
-actually they are a panel dedicated to issuing whether or not a patient is a drain on taxpayers money for no reason ie. coma for 20 years. best to pull the plug rather then drain the system. and dont think those "death panels" are run by uneducated janitors. professionals in their field would be called upon in the instance as to whether or not to pull the plug.

//Untold numbers of DEATH.//
-welcome to LIFE

//How can we support FORCED abortions and death panels as Christians?//
you negatively connotate so badly, Jesus was the first preacher of socialism, this new system would allow even the poorest to afford the basic right to health, a human right.

just think what would jesus do
answer is that he would provide universal healthcare, those extra clauses that people are crapping themselves over would be removed is public opinion is that bad against it

//For example, Bill Gates has given more to charity than anyone else.//
-try percentile giving.
and bill gates is a special case since he runs his very own foundation.

Talk about someone who is totally in the dark.

Instead of listening to all the anti-Obama lies, why don’t you actually read the news.

The whole death panel thing was the creation of Obama’s foes and was never part of the plan.

Take your smear campaign of lies elsewhere. They make all Christians look really, really bad.

Edit Add: I tried to paste in a bunch of references from the search (below), but Yahoo’s software complained. Anyway, for what it is worth read and recognize that you are basically lying (repeating a lie is the same thing):

The ‘death panel’ rumor

What it says: Health care reform legislation pending in the House proposes to set up government “death panels” to decide if the elderly or disabled should receive health care or be dispatched through euthanasia if deemed unworthy.

One source for the rumor: “The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ‘level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil,” Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, wrote on her Facebook page Aug. 7.

What AARP.org says about House Bill 3200: “The clause on page 424 (section 1233) would require Medicare to pay doctors for their time if beneficiaries chose to consult them for information on advance care planning, such as making a living will, appointing a health proxy and hospice care (already covered by Medicare). Medicare would pay for these sessions only once every five years.”

What PolitiFact.com, a project of the St. Petersburg, Fla., Times, to help readers find the truth about Washington and Obama’s presidency, says: “We have read all 1,000-plus pages of the Democratic bill and examined versions in various committees. There is no panel in any version of the health care bills in Congress that judges a person’s “level of productivity in society” to determine whether they are “worthy” of health care.”

"His plan will FORCE nurses to assist in abortions. "

In other words, the nurses will have to perform the duties they are being paid to do…or am I missing something?

uhm here’s a better question.
how can anyone who pays taxes support his plan?

like i dont really care about the abortion stuff. i mean. if you want an abortion thats not my business and it’s between the person and god and god will deal with them on judgement day. because one less unwanted child doesnt keep me up at night.
as for nurses being forced, no one can be forced. it’s not like if nurse jane asks nurse mary to cover the abortion for her since she’s against it, the police will rush to the hospital and arrest nurse jane. nurses cant be forced to do something.

"Federal law has long forbidden discrimination against health care professionals who refuse to perform abortions or provide referrals for them on religious or moral grounds. The Obama administration supports those laws, said the HHS official."

it’s like if you’re cousin came in needing surgery or something for some trauma. they cant force you to be a nurse on the medical team for your cousin because you could be in distress from seeing a family member going through that and then you couldnt do your job right because youd be too worried. so if you disagree with abortion, staying on the team means you might not do your best which is dangerous and unfair to the patient and it’s basically a conflict of interest that is too serious to just be shelved. a hospital isnt going to risk botching an abortion which could possibly harm or kill the patient just because nurse jane is against abortion but she’s being forced to help anyways.

as for the death panels. they sound kinda like, conspiracy theoryish to me.

oh lord jesus christ in heaven above.
that is beyong conspiracy theory.
it’s complete bull.
i could not believe this so i googled it and i got this abc news article.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/08/palin-paints-picture-of-obama-death-panel-giving-thumbs-down-to-trig.html

uhm i’m sorry but seriously.
thats just some more bullhickey sarah palin is making up in her head. there are sooooooooooooooooooooooo many people in america who are dying or disabled so i doubt that would ever get a chance to even be discussed. just because someone is terminally ill, dying, or disabled doesnt mean they dont vote.

i think the only sensible use for "death panels" would be to switch the name around and make it a panel where all illegals have to go infront of to determine if their problem is serious enough to let them go ahead and get medical care before an actual taxpaying citizen. it’s stupid to have a nationwide tax paid healthcare system that caters to people who dont even pay taxes before it caters to those who do.
especially since most of america acutally has insurance. between illegal aliens and dipsticks who are just too cheap and lazy to buy insurance (which they can more then avoid), only about 8 million (2% of america) people are actually without insurance and cant buy it. and since those illegals arent paying taxes, they can buy their own dang insurance with all that money they save by not paying taxes.

anyways i’ll quit rambling or not.
christian reasons or not, universal and socialized healthcare is stupid and if it passes i will never vote for a democrat ever again in my whole life.

oh since i know someone will at least think it,
when i say illegals, i’m not being prejudiced against anyone in case any of you think that.
i dont care if the illegal is my 4th cousin from italy or ireland or slovakia. unless their condition is significantly worse then mine, i’m going ahead of them. i pay taxes (i’ve worked at walgreens for all of a month and a half and already over $200 has gone to taxes) so i should get my jaw surgery before they get whatever. so unless they need heart/brain/or lung surgery then it’s gonna be me first.

swedish, nigerian, hispanic, russian, australian, mongolian, idc. if they dont pay taxes they shouldnt get healthcare first.

sorry i rambled but this just all bugs me soooooo much.

oh and whats bad about "everyone" getting healthcare from this universal plan is that the people who really need it wont get it.
especially since they will have to keep waiting and waiting as new cases come in that take priority.

so although someone was supposed to get ankle surgery within 3 months, they could end up having to wait at least 6 months before they get the surgery because other cases will get precedent.
you may say it looks like a simple ankle surgery that poses no threat, but trust me. i’ve had 2 ankle surgeries. that pain can quickly escalate which means the injury is getting worse and it will continue to get worse and worse while the person is waiting and in the end it will cost more to fix it at its worst then it was to keep the scheduled time and fix it when it wasnt as bad.
